Lori (Endicott) Vandersnick - Lori played for the USAV National Team for eight years and in the 1992 and 1996 Olympic Games. At the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, Spain, the USA women finished third, and Lori was named the BEST SETTER in the world. Lori played six years for the Willard Schools, Springfield Junior Volleyball Club in 1984 and 1985, and continued her volleyball career at the University of Nebraska before trying out for the Olympic team. Within weeks she was the starting setter for the National Team. During her freshman year at Nebraska, Lori broke the service, ace and kill percentage records. Lori is a tremendous competitor with outstanding volleyball skills. She was voted USA Volleyball All-Era Team and the 2005 Flo Hyman All Time Great Player Award. In her ninth year with SJVC, she is coaching the 18s team again. Lori is available for private lessons.

Kelly Richardson - Kelly is in her first year as Volleyball Coach at Southwest Baptist University. She coached at Republic High School in 2005 and 2006. In 2005 Republic won their first District and Sectional Title in school history, and place 3rd in the Class 3 Missouri State Championships. Kelly was a four year started for Willard High School, played Club Bear in 1998 (won regionals and went to Nationals) and 2000 (went to Nationals). Kelly was All State, All Ozarks, and All Conference in 1998 & 1999. Kelly played as SMS (Missouri State University) in 2000 before transferring to Evangel University in 2001. While at Evangel Kelly was named All Conference, All Region and All American in 2002 & 2003. She was National Player of the Week 4 times in her 3 years at Evangel. This will be Kelly's 7th year with Springfield Junior Volleyball Club. In 2005 she took her 16 blue team to nationals in Salt Lake City, Utah and in 2006 stepped in and took the 17 blue team to nationals in Atlanta, Georgia. Kelly is coaching our 17 Blue team.

Ryan Lacson - Ryan played four years of high school ball for Marquette in Chesterfield, MO, as well as club ball for Express VBC and Missouri Thunder VBC. He restarted the SMS Men's Volleyball team for which he played and coached four years, and also played for SWAT VBC. This is Ryan's 7th year coaching juniors, and his third year with SJVC. Ryan’s team took 2nd at Regionals 2007. He also took over the coaching duties for the 14 Blue last year, whom he coached to a 5th place finish at the MHMEQ National Qualifier in Indianapolis and an 11th place finish at USAV Nationals. He is currently the JV coach at Parkview High School. This past season, Ryan's JV team went 21-6-1, including an undefeated 8-0 home record. Ryan is also a USAV CAP-II certified coach. In addition to his involvement as a coach and player, Ryan is a PAVO Referee and a USAV Regional Referee, and also serves on the Heart of America Board of Directors as the Associate Director of Junior Development in Missouri. Ryan is coaching the 17Red team.

Joanna Hayes - Joanna played at Missouri Southern State College 4 years, earning All-Conference and All District honors and at Central High School (took 2nd at State Championships). She received ‘player- coach of the year’ in 1984. She got to play with “the worlds best setter (at that time), Debbie Green, in 1984, was the Head Volleyball coach at Central High School for 12 years, Monett 7 years and is currently the Freshman Coach at Ozark High School. The freshmen team under Joanna has accumulated a 140-5 record the last five years (54-0 the last three). Joanna played USAV for about 17 years. She has two daughters playing SJVC, Aleah 17’s and Jade 15’s. Joanna is in her seventh year with us having taken 13Blue to Nationals in Salt Lake City, Utah 2005, 14Blue to Nationals Atlanta, Georgia 2006, 15Blue to Nationals in Minneapolis, Minnesota 2007. She has attended many, many coaching clinics (USA, High performance, Nebraska, etc). It seems to have been a good investment. She is coaching 16Blue.


Reverie Tuipulotu - Reverie played Volleyball at Central Bible College in Springfield, and played at John F. Kenney High School in Sacramento, California with a nine year break in between. She came to America in when in 1982 from Tonga, a South Pacific island. Reverie is married to Nali 8 years with a son, Josaiah who is a one year old fan of the team. When not clapping for them he sometimes giggles watching them. Reverie loves volleyball with a passion and says that you need a love for the game and a spirit that displays team, heart and hustle. Rev is coaching our 16Red team.

Susan Patterson - Susan has 19 years' coaching experience, having coached at all levels, 6th grade through varsity, and has played volleyball for 33 years. Susan attended College of the Ozarks, receiving all-conference, all-district, and Academic-Volleyball All-American awards. Susan coached for Lebanon for 13 years (3 at the Junior High and 10 at the High School). During that time, Lebanon won 10 District Titles, 6 Conference Titles, 2 Sectional Titles, and appeared twice at the MSHSAA State Championships. After coaching in Oregon for two years Susan is back at Lebanon as the Varsity Coach. This year, Susan is coaching the 15Blue team.

 

Hannah Odle - Hannah played four years of varsity at Houston High School as setter/ captain. (1999) Honorable Mention, All- Conference and Rookie of the Year, (2000) 2nd Team All- Conference and 1st Team All- District, (2001) 1st Team All- District, 1st Team All- Conference, Varsity MVP. Played 4 years club for Houston and 3 years for the Grizzlies in West Plains, MO. Went to State Fair Community College for two years, 1st Team All- Region. Went to Bacone College in Muskogee, Ok for two years and received All-Tour. and 1st Team All- Conference, graduating in May 2005 with a degree in Business Administration and minor in Marketing. Hannah coached the freshmen at Republic High School 2007. This is Hannah’s third year with SJVC, and she coaches our 15Red team.

Becky Lipasek - NFHS 2006 Coach of the Year in Missouri Volleyball; MHSVBCA Class 2 Coach of the Year 1999 & 2005. Currently the Head Coach at Reeds Spring High School-2006 Third Place in Class 3A and a share of the COC title while finishing 4th in 2007 and winning the COC title entirely. Becky spent 15 years as the Head Coach at El Dorado Springs with four appearances in the State Championship Match in Class 2-1st Place in 1999, 2005; 2nd Place 1998, 2000. She has a Career Varsity Record:367-119-30, and a total of16 All State selections for her players while at the two schools. Becky is a Graduate of Missouri Valley College where she was HAAC All Conference her senior season. She is married to Mike-coaching 12Blue, proud mother of three daughters: Kinsey-20, a sophomore volleyball player at SBU,Kyleigh-10, and Kellyn-7. Becky is coaching our 14Blue team.



Rachel Ellis- Rachel played volleyball 6 years at Fair Grove Schools earning All District, All Conference and All State honors. Her team took 3rd at State both her junior and senior years. Rachel played Springfield Juniors as an 18 her senior year. She played four years at Drury University, starting three years and earned all Conference and Academic All American all four years. She had over 1000 career kills and digs. Rachel graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Public Relation and minors in Global Studies and Business Administration. She coached SJVC 14Gray team last year and this year our 14Red team.

Shannon Schrock - Shannon has served as the Osceola High School Volleyball Coach for twelve years. During that time, Osceola has won seven District Titles, eight Western Missouri Conference Titles and has appeared three times in the MSHSAA State Championships. The Lady Indians finished 2nd in 1990; 3rd in 2006; and 4th in 2007. Shannon has a career record of 243-88-13. Her 12 Blue Team finished 1st at Regionals in the Silver Division last year. She has two daughters playing SJVC: Kaitlyn13’s; and Emily 11’s. Shannon is in her fifth year with SJVC and coaches our 13Blue team.

Ashley Haggard - Ashley has been active in the volleyball world for 11 years with 21 different teams. She comes from Southern California where she played 4 years for Stockdale High School and Kern River Volleyball Club, and Bakersfield Volleyball Club. During her years at KRVC her teams ranked high in the National Volleyball Festival in Reno, NV. Most recently she coached a 12 and under team at Bakersfield Volleyball Club, where her team won their regional division. Ashley is a sophomore at Evangel University seeking a Marketing and Management degree, with a minor in Spanish. She coached our 11s to 3rd place at Regioanls 2007. Ashley is a second year coach with SJVC coaching our 13Red team.

Mike Lipasek - Mike played on a men’s USAV team in 1994 in the KC area and coached the El Dorado Rockets for two years before becoming an assistant coach at El Dorado Springs High School. Mike also coached a 12-under team for Nevada Juniors in 2005. He has been on the coaching staff of six Final Four teams, including the past two years by Reeds Spring in 2006 and 2007. He is a graduate of Pittsburg State University (’94) and is married to Becky Lipasek (14Blue). They have three daughters: Kinsey-20, sophomore volleyball player at SBU, Kyleigh-10, a member of the SJVC 12Blue, and Kellyn-7. Mike coached 11Blue to 1st at Regionals 2007. Mike is coaching our 12Blue team.

 


Brooke Harvill - Being involved with volleyball is a true passion for Brooke, having been a player or coach the last 15 years. After playing high school at Marshfield and Central her volleyball took her to Missouri State University, West Plains, nationally ranked #8, for two years. She finished up her college at Redlands, nationally ranked # 11, in Oklahoma. Brooke is coaching our 12Red.

Jessica Smythe - Jessica is a freshman at Evangel University and plays right side. She attended Reeds Spring High School, and her senior year was on the first school team ever to go to the State Volleyball Championships, where they finished 3rd. The team was coached by Becky Lipasek (1st year at Reeds Spring) and asst Mike Lipasek. Jessica has been playing volleyball since 5th grade, the same age as her team. She wants to teach them two very important things: teamwork and communication! Jessica coaches our 11s team.

Other Staff

Sandi Podorski - Sandi is the Club Director for SJVC. She has been affiliated with Springfield Juniors since its inception in 1984, and has served as Club Director since 1987. Sandi is a long-time volleyball referee and keeps score for several of the area colleges during the college volleyball season. She is also a long-time player and continues to play on women's teams in the Springfield area. Sandi works tirelessly recruiting coaches, players, and courts for Junior Volleyball. Her dedication and efforts to always act in the best interests of the players have made a positive difference in the lives of countless young women. You'll see Sandi at all SJVC's home tournaments (look her up and say "hi"), and at many other volleyball functions around the state.




Sarah Marshall
- Sarah played volleyball four years at Willard High School, and two years at MSU. Sarah serves as a substitute coach for SJVC when needed.  She is in charge of our referee and scorekeeper clinics; Sarah is a (former) Jr. National, and current college and high school referee. She assists with administrative tasks and serves as a Court Manager at SJVC home tournaments. Sarah is also our webmaster.

 

 

 

Beverley Kreul – Bev is a senior at Republic High School. She has been a member of the Republic Varsity Volleyball teams for two years playing both defensive specialist and setter. She has been a part of the SJVC program for the past six years. As a senior Beverley has also received her officiating license from MSHSAA. Next year she plans to attend college.

 

 

 

 

Krystal Glessner –Krystal is a sophomore at Drury University and played libero this year, played outside hitter as a freshman. She started playing volleyball in 4th grade, continued at Republic, where her high school team took 3rd at the State Volleyball Championships her senior year. She also played on Republic’s basketball team that placed 1st at the State Championships her sophomore year. Krystal’s major is computer information systems. She is coaching two 7th grade recreational teams at Republic. Krystal, in her first year with SJVC, is a floater coach for us this year.
